The Courthouse Collection for me is all about designing beautiful and original jewellery that anyone can afford. The Freshwater pearl is the perfect medium. It is a gem whose beauty far outshines its price. An incredibly versatile treasure, from simple elegant, delicate and feminine, to all out funky and chunky. I invite you to Enjoy The Courthouse Collection.
Bridget started her career at the age of 13 at her first market stall in Warrandyte Community Market, Victoria. From there, to in her late teens, learning to cut gems stones with her Dutch grandfather and studying art & design at Box Hill College of TAFE Bridget continued to develop her craft. Bridget is not one for lengthy CV’s as a measure of success or ability, so in a nutshell jewellery and printmaking became her passions. With numerous joint exhibitions, some awards, 2 huge solo exhibitions of installation style and her own Gallery in Melbourne, Bridget has built up a following of her work over the years. The Courthouse Collection is only one facet of Bridget’s creative ability. The Broome Courthouse Collection Gallery designed and largely built by Bridget and family is another insight into her talent. Below are some examples of Bridget Liddell jewellery. For Bridget however, with a young family and The Courthouse Collection being two full time jobs, works such as these are for the future. You may like to stay in touch with us to hear when Bridget’s next body of work see’s the light of day.
